This 3 storey, narrow fronted, four bedroom family house was completed in 2007. It is sited in the rear garden of a large house in Huntingdon Road facing Westfield Road. The rear garden faces south west.
It is a very well insulated house with additional insulation under the floor slab and in the roof build-up. It has a concrete ground and first floor to provide thermal mass, in order to stabilise the internal temperatures in the house. Both floors have underfloor heating which is efficient at dissipating heat. The heated water temperatures in the underfloor heating can be low. This allows the twin solar water panels which are fitted to the rear roofs facing south east and south west to feed surplus hot water into the underfloor heating if required.
