WILLIAM MILLER, CAMBRIDGE ARCHITECTS

We are committed to working with our clients to provide them with design solutions to meet their needs. Each project requires a different approach; we aim to fully research a project and carefully consider alternatives in an ongoing dialogue. This process can develop a rigorously thought out and inventive solution to our client’s needs. We respond to the orientation of the site and bring sunlight into our buildings. Living and working in naturally lit sunny buildings is a good experience. We seek to promote strategies that can be applied to minimise the Carbon Footprint of our proposals, and running costs and at the same time provide delightful buildings to live and work in.

We have been in practice since 1985 in Cottenham Cambridge first as William Miller Associates Architects and lately as William Miller Architects Ltd, and have been involved in all types of architectural work since. We are based in the Old Bus Garage in Cottenham, six miles north of the City of Cambridge. Whether it's working on Green Eco projects utilising the latest technologies, housing developments, extensions and alterations or sympathetically restoring a listed building, we can help design and work closely with you on your next project.

Projects have been designed, project managed and completed ranging up to £1.5 million in value for works on site, but with higher values for planning work.

With increasing national standards for reducing building’s CO2 emissions William Miller Architects Ltd is committed providing  energy saving solutions for extensions and new buildings. We have experience with the use of Domestic Energy Assessment, National Homes Energy Rating Schemes and the Code for Sustainable Homes. We would hope to provide our clients with an assessment of the available options for reductions of running costs of their buildings.
